Sita Vasan has worked for Intel Capital's Strategic Investment team for 9 years and closed over 55 venture capital investments in media, enterprise software, semiconductor, and wireless sectors among others. Successful exits include SIRF Technology (IPO), RiskMetrics (IPO), Intellon (IPO) Cloakware, and AppIQ. She is presently focusing on the digital media sector for Intel's new digital home platform and based in NYC.

Prior to Intel Capital, she had 15 years of investment banking experience. She worked for the International Finance Corp (IFC), the private sector arm of The World Bank for 5 years where she managed and initiated the Client Derivative team helping IFC clients manage their interest rate and currency risk; she also worked in Telecom/Infrastructure project finance covering projects in Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Subcontinent where she structured the first equity derivative transaction for Hungarian Telecom and closed a pre-privatization for Macedonian Telecom in the form of a $50 million convertible bond issue. Prior to IFC, she was Vice President and set up Banque Indosuezˇ¦s Foreign Swap Marketing team in Paris. As Senior Manager, Syndicate/Swaps for Bank of Tokyo in London, she set up their asset swap activity and won a mandate for an ECU Eurobond for the World Bank. Previously, she worked as Assistant Manager of corporate finance at Orion Royal Bank in New York and London.

Her education includes an MBA from Wharton (University of Pennsylvania) where she received a dual major in Finance and International Business and a BA in Political Science from Bryn Mawr College.
